As We Look Up, we are Awed, the Heavens Declare the Glory of God

Begin the study by watching Episode 4.

Just like there is an incredible small micro world that was discussed in Episode 3, as we look up at night or view outer space from a telescope or pictures from space we find an incredible vast universe around us.

As you watch the beginning of the Episode with Galaxies, stars, Planets or view the night sky and read, Psalm 19:1 “The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship,” What are your thoughts? Read Psalm 19:1-4.

Now we know from science that the universe has a beginning. What are your thoughts that the Bible has been saying this all along that the universe had a Beginning as we read Genisis 1:1?

What is meant when the Episode and book which states from the facts that the universe is amazingly designed with the: Right kind of galaxy? Right kind of stars? Right kind of solar system? Right kind of plant? Right kind of moon?

One astronomer has estimated the odds of our life – friendly planet existing by chance to be 1 in 10 to the 129th power. Which means, it cannot happen. “God is the greatest scientist. The complexity of the universe could not have come from chance.” Albert Einstein Some have argued that concluding that God is our Creator is just Christians filling in what they don’t know with a kind of filling in the “gap with God.” As John Lennox states, “I see God not in bits of the universe that I don’t understand, but in the bits that I do.” What is your answer to someone who accuses you of simply filling in the gaps of our unknown knowledge with God?

If you have a problem answering the above question, rewatch the Fine-Tuning Clip and also read Psalm 8 and focus in on verse 3. What do you think of the fact that the earth is strategically located in the perfect spot in our galaxy, solar system for peering out for discovery. Earth is not just one planet among billions; we have a very rare and privileged place in the universe?
